Such is the force of the humanization movement in Brazil, that the IV International Conference on Humanization of Childbirth took place in Brasilia in November 2016, against political and social odds and federal government funding issues, which caused its postponement – twice.
Since the III International Conference on Humanization of Childbirth and Childbirth in 2010, the movement has made considerable progress:
